NFOG 2025
NFOG Congress
Uppsala 24-27 August 2025
Welcome to the congress
Following the successful NFOG congress in Trondheim in 2023, we now invite you to the 2025 NFOG congress in Uppsala. We promise an exciting and up-to-date scientific program, with speakers from all over the world. A new feature is the Last-minute Breaking News symposia, where yet unpublished but clinically important studies will be featured. In addition, we will provide a number of social events for net-working and meeting old friends, some held in the most historic and important buildings in Uppsala, others leaning more to student life and physical activity.

Everything in One Place
Welcome to Uppsala
Uppsala is one of Sweden’s oldest cities, dating some 1,500 years ago. Back then, it was the power center of the land of the Swedes, an important place of worship, and a trade center. The city was known as Östra Aros up until the 13th century, when the name Uppsala took over.
The new Uppsala also became a city of learning, when the first university in Scandinavia, Uppsala University, was founded in 1477. World-renowned scientists such as Carl Linnaeus, Anders Celsius and Olof Rudbeck the elder carried out their work here.
Today, Uppsala is one of Sweden’s four major cities and is recognized for its universities, its magnificent cathedral and the legacy of Carl Linnaeus, among other things. Besides Uppsala University, Uppsala is also host to the Swedish Agricultural University and the city sees around 50 000 students and has nearly 5000 researchers.
It is easy to travel to Uppsala and everything is within walking distance in the city center. Uppsala has numerous museums, historical buildings, a wonderful path along the river, plenty of restaurants, and of course, bikes.
